Martin McHugh and Richard Birch from Microsemi are an exploiter and end user of the technologies developed within NextFactory. Microsemi‘s main role is as an end user implementer. In the project they will specify manufacturing requirements particularly for Use Case 3 under WP 1. Secondly Microsemi will bench mark and test the demonstrators for medical applications use case 3 and oversee the testing of use case 1 and 2.
They expect to gain access to new technologies and expertise that will open up new opportunities in medical applications. This focus for Microsemi‘s Advanced Packaging Division is in personalised medical devices, customised to fit the human form thus enhancing patient comfort and asthetics. The NextFactory consortium has the right partners and context to allow Microsemi to deliver on an important vision.
