Oliver Refle, NextFactory Coordinator at Fraunhofer-IPA and Andreas Zimmermann, CEO of Sunplugged and NextFactory project partner, introduced the novel solution for customised 3D microsystem manufacturing at the Exhibitor Forum of the LOPEC- 7th international exhibition and conference for the Printed Electronics Industry on March 4th 2015 in Munich, Germany.
Andreas Zimmermann, a developer of advanced photovoltaic modules, explained the current shortcomings of the solar industry in producing personalised solar-cell products. He emphasised the potential of the future NextFactory machine and manufacturing solution as a radically new way of producing micro-mechatronic systems. Oliver Refle, NextFactory project coordinator gave insight into the technical background of the NextFactory machine and its components and invited workshop attendees to become involved in the project.
The project was also represented at NextFactory’s project partner ACREO stand on March 4-5th 2015.
