Description : The overall mission of NextFactory is to develop and validate by a proof -of-concept an all-in-one and fully automated and highly generic NextFactory Solution for miniaturised SPIP production combining 3D freeform printing and automatic microassembly by a one-stop-shop service provider without specific product know-how, covering a broad range of application needs.
This reference for the NextFactory Solution will ensure that it is generic, i.e. covers a broad range of applications, and that it is open, i.e. can be customised to the particular requirements of specific use cases.

Description : The NextFactory project will design, model and develop a generic machine for SPiP manufacturing, which will implement the entire NextFactory Process Chain Concept and thus merge 3D printing & microassembly into a holistic solution. This machine will be sufficiently generic to be customised, not only to the specific Use Cases included in the project, but also to address Use Cases, which will arise from the dialogue with the NextFactory Community to bet set up and developed in the course of the project.

Description : To achieve the level of functionality expected from the NextFactory Solution, the project will design, model and develop supporting sub-systems for the NextFactory Solution. These will include technologies for:
3D freeform printing technologies
3D microassembly techniques (in particular to combine them with 3D printing)
Modelling and simulation tools (integrating 3D printing and microassembly)
Quality management methods
In each of these areas two versions of the technologies will be developed and be made available aligned with the global milestones of the NextFactory project.
